KYOCERA MITA (UK) Ltd has been celebrating a bumper crop of industry awards after winning the prestigious BOSS Industry Environment Award in the Manufacturer category, and the Printer Product of the Year award from Document Manager magazine. Both of the glittering award ceremonies took place in London on Thursday 14th October, with the Document Manager Awards being held at the Tower Hotel, while the BOSS awards were held at the Lancaster Hotel.

Judges of the BOSS Industry Environment award were looking for demonstrable and credible evidence of a best practice approach to environmental responsibility. KYOCERAs entry showed how the company has taken a design-led approach to sustainability through the development of its ECOSYS print technology. The entry highlighted the measurable benefits of waste reduction and cost savings associated with the technology, as well as KYOCERAs wider commitment to promoting environmental business. The judges commented: KYOCERA MITAs submission highlighted a step change in design with a simplified, eco-friendly product that will have long term benefits even if manufactured abroad.

The Document Manager Award recognised the FS-3140MFP as Printer Product of the Year. The FS-3140MFP is KYOCERAs first ECOSYS workgroup A4 MFP and the award recognised its capability in bringing advanced print functionality into the document management sphere. The product acts as a digital hub for document control and dissemination in addition to its economical, low waste printing function.
